This is the traditional formula for spring rolls and samosas my mom used every single time. She used this mainly for samosa fillings but iam too lazy so i prefer to make spring rolls with this filling as its easy to roll than make the perfect triangles;)

Ingredients

  • Lamb/Chicken mince - 500gms
  • Onions finely chopped - 2 cups
  • Spring onions finely chopped - 1 cup Carrots - Julinne cut - 1 cup Boiled peas - 1 cup
  • Coriander finely chopped - quarter cup
  • Mint leaves finely chopped - quarter cup
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder - 1 tsp
  • Red chili flakes - 1 tsp (optional)
  • Turmeric pwdr - half tsp
  • Cumin pwdr - 1 tsp
  • Coriander pwdr - 2 tsp
  • Garam masala - Half tsp
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  • Salt

Method

  1. In a cooking pot add mince, ginger garlic paste, salt and all the powders and cook this until done and make sure no moisture is left and its completely dry.
  2. In a mixing bowl add the cooked mince and add rest of the ingredients and give it a good mix.
  3. Place the mince filling in the spring roll sheet and roll it as per the packet instuctions.
  4. After rolling them all, we can place them in freezer bags and store them in the freezer for upto a month. OR
  5. Deep fry them in hot oil and relish them.
