This is the traditional formula for spring rolls and samosas my mom used every single time. She used this mainly for samosa fillings but iam too lazy so i prefer to make spring rolls with this filling as its easy to roll than make the perfect triangles;)
Ingredients
- Lamb/Chicken mince - 500gms
- Onions finely chopped - 2 cups
- Spring onions finely chopped - 1 cup Carrots - Julinne cut - 1 cup Boiled peas - 1 cup
- Coriander finely chopped - quarter cup
- Mint leaves finely chopped - quarter cup
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Red chili powder - 1 tsp
- Red chili flakes - 1 tsp (optional)
- Turmeric pwdr - half tsp
- Cumin pwdr - 1 tsp
- Coriander pwdr - 2 tsp
- Garam masala - Half tsp
- Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
- Salt
Method
- In a cooking pot add mince, ginger garlic paste, salt and all the powders and cook this until done and make sure no moisture is left and its completely dry.
- In a mixing bowl add the cooked mince and add rest of the ingredients and give it a good mix.
- Place the mince filling in the spring roll sheet and roll it as per the packet instuctions.
- After rolling them all, we can place them in freezer bags and store them in the freezer for upto a month. OR
- Deep fry them in hot oil and relish them.
